4. Cookies and analysis tools

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are placed and stored on a computer system via an Internet browser.

4.1 Essential cookies

Essential cookies are required to ensure the basic functionality of our website and to enable its operation. The processing is based on our legitimate interest in the basic provision of our website. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our website cannot function without these cookies. These cookies can only be deactivated in the browser settings. If you do not wish to take advantage of our cookies, you can use your browser's help function to find out how to set your browser to prevent it from accepting new cookies or to delete existing cookies.

4.1.1 Cookiebot

This website uses Cookiebot, a consent management service provided by Cybot A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark ("Cybot"). This enables us to obtain and manage the consent of website users for data processing. The following data is processed using cookies:

  • Your IP address (the last three digits are set to '0')
  • Date and time of consent
  • Browser information
  • The URL from which the consent was sent
  • An anonymous, random and encrypted key Your end-user consent status as proof of consent

If you activate the "bulk consent" service feature to enable consent for multiple websites with a single end-user consent, the service will additionally store a separate, random, unique ID with your consent. If all of the following criteria are met, this key is stored in encrypted form in the third-party cookie "CookieConsentBulkTicket" in your browser: You activate the bulk consent function in the service configuration. You allow third-party cookies in your browser settings. You have deactivated "Do not track" via the browser settings. You accept all or at least certain types of cookies when you give your consent.

The processing takes place in the European Union. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR and Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest results from the above-mentioned purposes.

4.1.2 jQuery

This website uses the jQuery service provided by the jQuery Foundation ("jQuery"). jQuery is served by the Content Delivery Network (CDN) of the American software company StackPath, LCC 2012 McKinney Ave. Suite 1100, Dallas, TX 75201, USA ("StackPath").

We use this technology to provide you with a quick and easy way to view our website and all of its subpages (web pages) on a variety of devices. This service stores, manages and processes personal data, in particular your IP address.

jQuery uses JavaScript libraries to deliver our website content quickly. A CDN server loads the necessary files. When you connect to the CDN server, your IP address is captured and stored. This only happens if this information is not already stored in your browser from a previous visit to the site.

If you do not want this information to be transferred, you can disable the execution of JavaScript code in your browser. If you choose to disable JavaScript, you will experience some changes to your normal experience. For example, a website may not load as quickly. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, whereby our legitimate interest results from the above-mentioned purposes.

StackPath is an active participant in the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which ensures the fair and secure transfer of personal data. This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it will be abbreviated. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google will not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The data is processed and evaluated on the basis of our legitimate interest in optimizing our website and our offers. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR or your consent by accepting all cookies in our cookie banner (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

Google AdWords Conversion Tracking uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site when they click on a Google ad. These cookies last no longer than 90 days. We do not store any personally identifiable information. As long as the cookie is active, Google and we as the website operator may be able to tell that you clicked on an ad and went to a particular destination page. HubSpot provides or is used by us for the following services:

  • External Website Hosting

This Site is hosted by HubSpot. The personal information collected on this site is therefore stored on HubSpot's servers. This may include, for example, IP addresses, contact requests, meta and communication data, contract data, contact details, names, site accesses, and other data generated through a website.

HubSpot is used for the purpose of fulfilling the contract with our potential and existing customers (legal basis Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR) and in the interest of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offer by a professional provider (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

  • Email Marketing

HubSpot is used for our email marketing. Visitors to our website can sign up for newsletters and mailings and download certain documents (e.g., white papers) (registration service). This requires, for example, the submission of a name and an email address. We use this information to contact visitors to our site.

In this context, Hubspot may track your interactions with email. This includes, for example, link scoring in relation to your clicking behavior within an email. Hubspot records if and when a link is clicked and may associate this information with the email recipient. The legal basis for this processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

  • Reporting and Contact Management

In addition to email marketing, we use HubSpot for reporting (e.g., traffic sources, visits) and contact management purposes (user segmentation and CRM). This involves the use of cookies, which are stored on your computer and allow us to analyze your use of the website. This information is analyzed by HubSpot on our behalf to generate reports about visits to our site. This allows us to determine which of our company's services are of interest to you. This allows us to continually improve our products and make our offerings more customer-focused.

If you have signed up for our registration service (see "Email Marketing"), we may also use HubSpot to associate your visits to our website with your personal information (name, email address) so that you can receive personalized and targeted information on preferred topics.

The use of HubSpot CRM for the above purposes is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in managing and communicating with its customers as efficiently as possible. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, if the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's terminal device (e.g. device fingerprinting) in the sense of the TTDSG.

  • CDN

We use HubSpot CDN to properly deliver content to our website. HubSpot CDN acts as a content delivery network (CDN) on our website to ensure the functionality of other HubSpot services.

A CDN helps us deliver our online content, particularly files such as graphics or scripts, more quickly using servers located regionally or internationally. When you access this content, you establish a connection to the servers of HubSpot, Inc, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, which transmits your IP address and possibly browser data such as your user agent. This information is processed solely for the purposes described above and to maintain the security and functionality of the HubSpot CDN.

The use of the Content Delivery Network is based on our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient delivery and optimization of our online services in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR. GDPR.

The specific retention period of the processed data is beyond our control and is determined by HubSpot, Inc. For more information about HubSpot CDN's privacy policy, please visit: https://legal.hubspot.com/de/privacy-policy.

You may unsubscribe from receiving communications, such as newsletters, mailings or downloads, at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email or by sending a message to the above contact information.

6. Surveys and advertising for similar products

To ensure that our service meets your needs, we may use your email address, which you provide as part of a registration, inquiry or order, for customer satisfaction surveys. As a customer, we may - even without your prior consent - send you email advertisements for products similar to those you have ordered from us in the past. The legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in improving our services (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

You may object to future use by sending a message to the above contact details or, in the case of a newsletter, by using the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

7. Newsletter

Our website gives users the opportunity to subscribe to our company's newsletter. Which personal data is transmitted to us when subscribing to the newsletter can be seen in the input mask used for this purpose.

We regularly inform our customers and business partners about company offers by means of a newsletter. The newsletter of our company can only be received by the data subject if

  • the data subject has a valid email address, and
  • the data subject registers to receive the newsletter.

For legal reasons, a confirmation email is sent to the email address entered by a data subject for the first time for the purpose of sending the newsletter in accordance with the double opt-in procedure. The purpose of this confirmation e-mail is to verify that the owner of the email address has agreed to receive the newsletter.

When registering for the newsletter, we also store the IP address assigned by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) of the computer system used by the data subject at the time of registration, as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary in order to be able to trace the (possible) misuse of a data subject's email address at a later date and therefore serves the legal protection of the data controller.

The personal data collected during registration for the newsletter will be used exclusively for sending our newsletter or for individual contact by us. In addition, subscribers to the newsletter may be informed by email if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or a related registration, as may be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter offering or changes to technical conditions. The personal data collected within the scope of the newsletter service will not be passed on to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter can be cancelled at any time. The consent to the storage of personal data given by the data subject for the purpose of sending the newsletter may be revoked at any time. A link to revoke consent is included in each newsletter. It is also possible to inform the data controller by other means. The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 par. 1 lit. a GDPR.

We use so-called tracking pixels in our newsletters. A tracking pixel is a miniature image that is embedded in emails sent in HTML format to enable the recording and analysis of log files. This allows for statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. Based on the embedded Web beacon, we can determine if and when an email was opened by a data subject and which links in the email were accessed by the data subject.

We store and evaluate the personal data collected via the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters in order to optimize the dispatch of the newsletter and to tailor the content of future newsletters even more closely to the interests of the person concerned. We do not share this personal information with third parties.

8. Data retention time

We store personal data for as long as,

  • until you revoke your consent, or
  • the data is no longer required to fulfill our business interests or to provide the service you have requested, or
  • is required by law, or
  • until we no longer need it for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

9. Your rights regarding your data

You may at any time request information on the purpose, scope, origin and recipient of the stored data free of charge. In accordance with data protection regulations, you have the right to correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, the right to object to the processing and the right to data portability. If you believe that the processing of your data does not comply with data protection law or that your data protection rights have been violated in any way, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.

You also have the right to revoke your consent to the future use of your data at any time, e.g. by sending an email or letter to the above contact details. This does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent until revocation.
